The Emperor’s New Clothes at Nethercott House

April 5, 2017

Join us at the end of term on Friday 14 July at Nethercott House from 5pm for a fantastic performance of “The Emperor’s New Clothes”! We will have hog roast rolls and drinks available to purchase, or you can bring your own picnic. Please remember this is an outdoor performance, so please bring your own seats or blankets and dress up warm.

The Emperor’s New Clothes” will be performed by Illyria who originally performed this timeless Hans Christian Andersen story in 2000, when it was the Critic’s choice at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and attracted multiple 5-star reviews on a sell-out UK tour. Beneath the fancy clothes of the tale lies something more meaningful; human weaknesses are satirised mercilessly; and a capacity for loving is the highest value. There are larger-than-life characters, lots and lots to join in with – and an ending that will leave you helpless with laughter!

Gates open at 5pm. A hog roast and bar will be available from 5:30pm. The performance will begin promptly at 7pm and lasts 1 hour 40 minutes including a 20 minute interval.

Tickets are available to purchase online, or you can book by calling our office on 01392 276381. Tickets are £16 for adults and £12 for children under 12, and are subject to a £1.95 booking fee.
