Privacy policy for collection and use of personal details by Farms for City Children

All information you choose to give us will be held securely on Farms for City Children’s database. It is treated confidentially and with respect for the benefit of the Farms for City Children and its beneficiaries in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Data is primarily used for communicating activities, fundraising programmes, and for the promotion of products. These may include an element of direct marketing. The data will not be disclosed to external organisations other than those acting as agents for Farms for City Children, for example mailing houses for the mailing of newsletters, or approved volunteers acting on behalf of the charity. This may also include individuals who have been approved as volunteers in your region for use in relation to local activities, and who will have signed data agreements meeting Farms for City Children standards on data protection.

We collect and store the following information: the name of the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our site, and the Internet address of the website from which you linked to our site. We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site more useful to visitors.

Farms for City Children stores photographic images taken at our events, and we use these in our marketing materials. Similarly we also store and publicise the names of people who have given gifts of time or money to the charity, and publicise the names occasionally in our marketing materials.
