accordion-player We had a beautifully sunny day for our Nethercott Summer Country Fair this year!

Over 500 people attended the day and enjoyed taking part in all the activities. There were archery demonstrations, Morris dancers, shanty songs from Mariners Away, chick hatching, ferret racing, forest school, den building, pole jousting, tractor and trailer rides, a farrier demonstrating his trade and tours of the house.

In the marquee there was a selection of stalls selling a range of items from summer hats to paintings, from towels made in Kenya to resin hares, from handmade pottery to leather belts.farrier2

There was sustenance available in the form of ice-creams, chicken wraps, pulled pork, cream teas, crepes and a bar provided by the local pub the Duke of York.

Many alumni came and were able to show their parents where they had stayed for their week on the farm.
