We are incredibly fortunate to have such fantastic supporters. Whether you make a regular donation, follow us on Twitter, read our newsletter, buy our Christmas cards or attend our events, you are helping us to provide a life-changing week of muck & magic for children living in urban areas across the country.

These children are not only learning about farming, the countryside and food production – they are also learning about themselves. During their week on one of our three farms, we watch their confidence grow and their self-esteem flourish as they focus on tasks, bond with their peers and learn what they are really capable of.

When asked “How did being a farmer for a week make you feel?” one child on a recent residential said:

I really really enjoyed it, it was very exciting but also scary too. It was the best experience that I have ever experienced.”

Take a look at our Impact Report for 2016-2017 below to see the difference your support has made to the charity and the children we support.

To give you a small snapshot of what to expect:

  • 2,934 children from 92 schools visited our farms in 2016-17.
  • 71% of our visiting schools included children with special educational needs.
  • 100% of our visiting schools said we were outstanding or very good at offering children experiences that will stay with them forever.

THANK YOU for supporting Farms for City Children!
