Location – Lower Treginnis, Pembrokeshire

Salary – £18,000 – £18,500 pro rata, actual salary £3,600 – £3,700

Contract – Part time, Permanent (7 hours per week)

About the Role

The part time General Assistant (Outdoor) will support the maintenance of the property, grounds and equipment. The role will also support with basic farming and horticultural tasks.

The successful candidate will have experience of using ground care equipment and adhering to Health & Safety regulations and will be a flexible self-starter with good communication skills.

This position is a farm-based role which will require only very occasional travel within the Charity’s regions in order to attend training or meetings, normally at one of our farms in Devon/Pembrokeshire/Gloucestershire. The successful candidate must have the ability to travel between all four remotely located sites, across Devon and Gloucestershire, with expenses for travel reimbursed by the Charity.

Appointments will not be confirmed until the Charity has received two satisfactory professional references, evidence of the existing proof of right to work in the UK, and a satisfactory DBS check. Referees will not be contacted without candidates’ prior consent.

We will also carry out an online search about you for information that is publicly available online. This will include social media accounts you may hold. This will only be carried out on candidates that have been offered employment with the charity. This processing of data will be conducted under the legal basis of Article 6(e) public task in line with the guidance laid out in para 221 of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2022. Any data collected during this search will be retained in line with our retention schedule which is available on request.
