A week on one of our farms gives children far more physical freedom than the school environment. It also introduces a range of potential hazards in a safe and controlled way. Risks are minimised, but also properly understood by children and their teachers, promoting profound learning about life skills.
Concern about safety should not act as a deterrent to outdoor learning, as Farms for City Children has nearly 40 years of experience, innovation and investment in safety. The farms provide the ideal opportunity for teachers to explore personal safety issues with their pupils in a well-managed, safe setting under the guidance of our staff.
