On Wednesday 3 May, some of Britain’s best-loved names will be joining Michael Morpurgo for a special evening of stories and song in aid of our work at Farms for City Children. Celebrating our glorious countryside and the important part it plays in our lives will be “Dalai Lama of satire” Ian Hislop, award-winning actress Juliet Stevenson, trailblazing co-leader of the Green Party Caroline Lucas and legendary Liverpool poet Roger McGough.

Founders of Farms for City Children, Clare and Michael Morpurgo will also be speaking to Channel 4 News anchor Cathy Newman about the transformative work of the charity, which offers inner city children the opportunity to live and work together on a real farm in the heart of the countryside.

Plus, star of the National Theatre adaption of Michael Morpurgo’s War Horse Ben Murray will perform live on stage.

The evening will begin at 7pm at the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AR, and tickets are limited so be sure to book yours early. Tickets are £30 each and can be booked online. More information on each of the speakers can be found on the 5×15 website, who are organising this event in aid of Farms for City Children.
