It was lovely to see everyone at our Ultimate Spring Party at the Savoy last month. I hope you enjoyed it. I wanted to write to thank you for your support on our first fundraising event of this type held in London. Together with the generosity of our sponsors – Knight Frank, Citi Bank and Michelmores – your fantastic bids for our wonderful auction lots raised a profit of over £26,000. All of this will directly support disadvantaged inner-city children to enjoy a life-changing week of muck and magic down on one of our farms. Thank you!
As I said in my speech at the event, each of our three farms welcomes a new group of up to 39 inner-city primary school children and their teachers each week of the school year; that’s over 3,000 children every year, and nearly 100,000 lives brightened since we first began over forty years ago. Every child’s visit is subsidised by your kind gifts and donations – without which, they simply wouldn’t be able to make the trip.
