Recipe: Lower Treginnis blackberry & apple crumble

As summer fades into autumn at Lower Treginnis, our young farmers head out along the coastal path to forage for wild blackberries and harvest apples from the trees in our walled garden. Together, they transform their freshly gathered ingredients into this comforting seasonal blackberry and apple crumble, perfect for sharing around the table as autumn evenings draw in. Now you can recreate one of our favourite farm treats at home or even in school, bringing a little taste of autumn to your dinner table.

This is a great recipe to cook with young people, with our usual reminder to supervise chopping and using the hob / oven. You can find some tips for safely finding and picking blackberries on the National Trust website.
