We are looking for two Kitchen Assistants (ideally two people working three days per week) to join our friendly team on our Gloucestershire farm. The two roles will cover 42 hours per week between them and we may be able to give some flexibility about how these hours are divided between two candidates. Farms for City Children offers children and young people a residential week on one of our stunning heritage farms, where they are immersed in food, farming and nature. Young people participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens, caring for livestock and looking after the land alongside a variety of activities such as beekeeping, biodiversity walks and birdwatching.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role supporting the efficient running of a busy kitchen, responsible for preparing food and supporting sessions for groups of beneficiary children at Wick Court. There is also opportunity to support growing in the garden, work outside on the farm and support family events.
The Kitchen Assistant plays an important role within our farm to fork education offer. Working alongside the Kitchen Manager, you will prepare meals for up to 40 guests a week.

In return you will receive a starting salary of £23,133 per annum pro rata and a range of benefits, which include:
