Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025

Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025

For the next seven days, we’re really excited to offer you the opportunity to get your donation DOUBLED! Every £1 you donate to our Big Give Christmas Challenge will be matched, thanks to our amazing champion funder, the AKO Foundation.

By donating between midday on 2 December to midday on 9 December, you’ll help even more children and young people grow happier, healthier and more connected to the world around them, thanks to a week on one of our farms.

Donate and double your impact

Time on our farms provides so much more than a programme of hands-on experiences. It gives children the opportunity to reap a wealth of benefits that last long after they have returned home.

Donate £25 Farms for City Children receive £50 which could pay for animal care sessions graphic.

How to get your donation doubled

Visit our page on the Big Give website between midday Tuesday 2 December and midday Tuesday 9 December to make your donation to us. Every contribution of £1 or more will be doubled, at no cost to you.

Some tips:

  • Donations must be made via the Big Give website to qualify for match funding. This means cheques or cash will not be doubled through this campaign.
  • Donations must be made while the campaign is live midday 2 December to midday 9 December 2025.
  • The donation platform is hosted by the Big Give. By following our links, you will go straight to the Farms for City Children account, where you will see our logo and story so you will know that you are in the right place to donate.
  • You can find out more about the Big Give by exploring the website from our page on their site.
  • If you experience any problems making a donation, just contact our fundraising team on 01392 276678 or email fundraising@farmsforcitychildren.org

Connecting young people with nature – and happiness

Your support has never mattered more. Recent research by The Children’s Society showed that children’s scores for happiness with their life as a whole were significantly lower than in 2009/10.  By contrast, a survey last year by Natural England reported that 91% of children and young people agreed with the statement ‘being in nature makes me very happy’.

With your support, a week in nature – with an abundance of fresh air and happiness – can be made possible for children and young people.

Your donation will help Farms for City Children continue to ensure that young people, regardless of financial circumstances, benefit from the amazing gift of the great outdoors.

Thank you.
