Growing our partnership with Computershare

Growing our partnership with Computershare

Our three-year partnership with Computershare launched in January 2025, uniting their teams across their London, Croydon and Bristol offices to further their work through their global Change a Life Foundation. Computershare has an established commitment to supporting good causes, with their UK team helping their nominated charities through payroll giving, volunteering and fundraising initiatives.

We’ve been delighted to see how the Computershare team has truly dug into supporting us! They’ve joined us for farm visits, rolled up their sleeves on volunteering days and raised awareness of our work through lunch-and-learn sessions. There’s more to come this year, with festive fundraising campaigns in the pipeline.

An epic fundraising challenge

Their efforts reached new heights with an epic Tour de Farms cycle challenge, raising an incredible £24,254. This physically demanding five-day ride spanned our three farms, giving their intrepid cyclists the opportunity to connect directly with our farms and our work, as well as receiving welcome cheers from our visiting young farmers.

As Iain Wilson, one of the Tour de Farms riders, shared:

“Computershare has a long-standing record of charitable giving via our workplace giving programme, Change a Life, which helps empower people and communities facing economic and social challenges around the world. The company matches the contribution of employees who donate to the charity through their salary.

“The company, in consultation with employees, recently chose FfCC as its local charity partner for England and Wales. Our first teams of volunteers have already undertaken work on FfCC farms, and our employees have been inspired to take part in fundraising activities across our UK offices.

“We were also delighted to have supported the vital work of FFCC through our September charity bike ride, Tour de Farms. Sixteen riders cycled the entire distance between three FfCC farms:  Lower Treginnis, Haverfordwest, Wick Court and Gloucester, before heading down to Nethercott House, Devon.  It was a significant physical challenge, but it was so important for us to see the work of FfCC firsthand.

“It was a privilege to be a part of such a significant fundraising event on behalf of FfCC, and we’re so proud to have raised £24,254 to enable it to help improve the lives of young people.”

Our Corporate Fundraising Manager, Susannah Mair, added:

“From the moment I met the team in 2024, it was clear this partnership would be something special. Computershare’s enthusiasm, generosity and shared values have made working together a real joy. Whether they’re volunteering on our farms, fundraising in their offices, or cheering on their colleagues during Tour de Farms, their commitment shines through.

Together, we’re helping children and young people boost their confidence and wellbeing as they create invaluable connections with the natural world. A huge thank you to the Change a Life Foundation and every Computershare employee who’s helped make this possible.”

What’s next for Computershare and Farms for City Children?

As we approach Farms for City Children’s 50th anniversary in 2026, we’re excited to deepen our partnership with Computershare during this milestone year. With their continued support, we can enable even more children and young people to experience a transformational week on our farms, with benefits that last a lifetime.

If you’re inspired by Computershare’s support and would like to chat to us about how your organisation could benefit from partnering with us, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact fundraising@farmsforcitychildren.org or check out our Corporate partnerships page for more ideas and inspiration.
