Joules’ support reaches £50,000 milestone

Here at Farms for City Children we’ve been a proud partner of much-loved British lifestyle brand Joules since 2016. The company has supported us in all sorts of ways over the last six years, raising money to support our work, donating items for the children to use on our farms and sharing our mission with their customers.

This month we are delighted to announce that Joules have reached a huge milestone of raising a massive total of £50,000 to support our work.

Funds are raised through events in stores and at head office, the company’s ‘Charity Week’ initiative, and from customers generous donations when checking out on the Joules website. Joules have also supported us in donating items for auctions and raffles.

To celebrate £50,000 raised, Joules made an incredibly kind donation of 50 pairs of children’s wellington boots.

“We ask children to bring welly boots with them.” Says Claire, Office Manager at Wick Court, our Gloucestershire farm, “but very often children don’t own welly boots and cannot afford to buy a pair. It is great to offer them such a beautiful pair of wellies for the week. Children who have never worn a pair before feel like proper farmers and love stomping through fields in them.”

Rose Johnson, PR and Influencer Marketing Manager at Joules says “Farms for City Children is a very special charity to us, and we love that we’re able to support them long-term and be a part of their journey. We’re thrilled to have reached the £50,000 donation milestone! Knowing the difference this has made in supporting hundreds of children to make lifelong memories on their beautiful farms is just wonderful.”

Claire added “It is fantastic that Joules have donated so much money over the last few years and given so much support. All of us want to send a heartfelt thanks to Joules’ customers and dedicated staff.”
