Meeting our pledges: Impact Report 2024-25

Meeting our pledges: Impact Report 2024-25

We are delighted to share our latest annual impact report, summarising the highlights of a truly remarkable year and – most importantly – the impact that time on our farms has had on visiting children and young people.

Opportunities to access time in nature, outdoor learning and school-led enrichment activities are shrinking, particularly for children and young people in households experiencing financial strain. Within this context, we are particularly proud that a record number of children and young people were able to experience a transformative week on our farms last year.

In Devon, Gloucestershire and Pembrokeshire, more than 3,500 visiting  children and young people have rolled up their sleeves, fed animals, planted seeds, explored and discovered the freedom, wellbeing and sense of environmental citizenship that comes from being immersed in nature.

Thanks to the continued generosity of our supporters, we have reached new schools and community groups while deepening our commitment to nature-friendly farming and sustainability.

We look ahead to 2025-26 with great excitement, not least because it will see us celebrating a major milestone for Farms for City Children; our 50th anniversary. Since the charity was founded by Clare and Michael Morpurgo in 1976, more than 104,500 children and young people have experienced a life-changing week on one of our farms. This milestone is not just a celebration of our past; it’s a springboard into the future. With your continued support, we’re committed to ensuring that this experience remains accessible to those who need it most, now and for generations to come.
