On Thursday 6 August, Nethercott House will open its gates for a special open garden afternoon in the heart of Devon.
From 1pm to 4.30pm (last entry 4pm), visitors are invited to stroll through our spectacular Victorian kitchen garden, usually only accessible to children and young people on residential stays.
This year’s open garden is all the more special as it takes place in our 50th anniversary year, at the farm where Farms for City Children was founded by Clare and Michael Morpurgo in 1976.

Visitors will be able to explore the grounds at their own pace, enjoy a garden tour, a cream tea in the house or make the most of refreshments and stalls on the lawn. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about our work from the Nethercott House team as well as hearing from hand from visiting young people, who will be participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award residential on the farm that week.
All proceeds from the event will go to the charity, enabling children and young people to be happier, healthier and better connected to nature thanks to a week on our farms.
🎟 Tickets are £7 for adults (children go free) and can be booked online at Try Booking
