2026 is a very special year for Farms for City Children – our 50th Anniversary!
To celebrate this golden milestone, we’re inviting every school and group visiting our farms this year to take part in a brand‑new creative challenge. During your visit in 2026, each school or group will receive their very own unique Golden Goose, inspired by the geese in our iconic Quentin Blake logo. This will be the start of your goose’s big adventure!
How to take part
Once you’re back at school or in your group setting, we’d love to see how your experience on the farm continues to inspire you. Here’s how to enter
- Take a photo or short video that shows something you are doing that has been inspired by your visit to the farm. This could be growing, cooking, learning outdoors…or something completely different.
- Make sure you include your Golden Goose in the photo or video!
- Email your entry to news@farmsforcitychildren.org Please include:
-
- Your school or group name.
- A short caption describing your activity.
- You don’t have to feature children in your photo or video, but if you do, please confirm that you give permission for us to share the image on our website and social media channels.
- You’re welcome to include more than one photo or video in a single entry but make sure there is only one entry per visiting school or group.
-
If you have any questions, just drop us an email to news@farmsforcitychildren.org or ask our teams at the farms during your visit.
Prizes
At the end of the year, we’ll be awarding 10 × £100 Thompson & Morgan vouchers to our competition winners. These can be spent on seeds, plants or growing equipment, everything you need to continue your growing journey long after your farm experience ends. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Computershare for making these prizes possible!
For full details, including terms and conditions, please download our competition leaflet.
