Champions for Children 25: Get your donation doubled!

Champions for Children 25: Get your donation doubled!

For the next two weeks, we’re really excited to offer you the opportunity to DOUBLE your donation! Every £1 you donate to our Champions for Children appeal page will be matched, thanks to our amazing champion funder, The Childhood Trust.

By donating between midday 3 June to 17 June, you’ll help us connect even more children with nature and grow their knowledge, confidence and wellbeing during a week on one of our farms.

Donate and double your impact

Time on our farms provides so much more than a programme of hands-on experiences. It gives children the opportunity to reap a wealth of benefits that last long after they have returned to home.

£10 doubled to £20 pays for a hands-on kitchen garden session for 30 children.

How to donate to get your donation doubled

Visit our Champions for Children page on the Big Give website from midday Tuesday 3 June until midday Tuesday 17 June to make your donation to us. Every contribution of £1 or more will be doubled, at no cost to you

Some tips:

  • Donations must be made via the Big Give website to qualify for match funding. This means cheques or cash will not be doubled through this campaign.
  • Donations must be made whilst the campaign is live midday 3 June to midday 17 June 2025.
  • The donation platform is hosted by the Big Give. By following our links, you will go straight to the Farms for City Children account, where you will see our logo and story so you will know that you are in the right place to donate.
  • You can find out more about the Big Give by exploring the website from our page on their site.
  • If you experience any problems making a donation, just contact our fundraising team on 01392 276678 or email fundraising@farmsforcitychildren.org

Your donation has never been more important

Recent research highlights just how vital your support is. In households experiencing financial strain, three fifths of parents and carers reported that they’d struggled to afford school trips in the last twelve months1. This is combined with nearly half of primary schools reporting that they have cut spending on school trips and enrichment activities due to cost-of-living pressures2.

Without your support, a week in nature, free from digital devices and with an abundance of fresh air and nurture, is out of reach for far too many children and young people.

Your donation will help us continue to ensure that young people, regardless of financial circumstances, benefit from the amazing gift of the great outdoors.

Thank you.
